Is the Iron Patriot the villain in Iron Man 3?

Principal photography began today on "Iron Man 3" in North Carolina. Marvel sent out an official release that had little to no details, but they did tweet out a set photo that had Robert Downey Jr. on set in his personal lab.

Other outlets have photos of an actor wearing a suit that looks like the Iron Patriot of comic book fame. The actor is James Badge Dale, who is supposed to be in the film as a character named Eric Savin.

Savin appears in the comics as Coldblood, which is a completely different character than Iron Patriot. Stay tuned as we attempt to sort this out in the coming months.
